NOTE: Always use "Save As" to branch a version for yourself before making edits. This is especially important for standard reports.

Save as is very important because it protects your edits from being overwritten by our ongoing improvements.

Since we own the original version of each dashboard, any refreshed publications will overwrite those originals with the latest version.

Only after you have saved a dashboard as a separate duplicate version for yourself can you expect those edits to always be protected and maintained as explained in this video:
