Add Tasks or Task Groups to an inflight Projects

Overview

Processes are dynamic and there might arise the need to tweak the project plan owing to the agile environment. You may create a task, a task group, or group already existing tasks to cater to changing requirements.


User Access

  • Admin, Manager, Guides, and Task Owners can add Tasks and Task Groups

  • Task Owners can add only regular tasks and add them to an already existing Task Groups


How to add a Task on the fly

When you create a new task you can create any task type: Regular task, Participant Task, and Event Task, and edit all the details necessary.


How to add a Task Group on the fly

Task groups can consist of multiple task types and you can add as many as you need to accomplish your every need!

We all know projects change and GUIDEcx allows you to adapt on the fly.


Best Practices

  • If you notice that certain tasks are correlated or fall under the same category, you may reach out to your GUIDEcx admin for grouping them under a Task Group in the template.

  • Enable sending a completion message whenever all tasks in a Task Group are marked Done!

Can task owners create milestones?

Can contributors create internal tasks for themselves?

No, contributor users do not have the permissions to create tasks. To learn more about user permissions, click here.

Can customers create customer tasks on the fly?

No, customers can communicate with the project manager if they need a task/task group created for their team to work on.
