Overview

Tasks can be further categorized using tags. This will help users filter in tasks associated with certain tags for bulk editing!

User Access

  • Admins, Managers & Guides can create task tags.

  • All internal users can utilize tags to filter in tasks!

  • External users can only view tags that are made visible to them.

How to Create Task Tags

  1. Click on the three-dot menu on the task card (upper-right corner of the card). This process is the same for projects and templates.

    2. After creating or utilizing an existing Task Tag, in this same window you can select what tags you want to add to the task or write the name of a new tag that you want to create.

Tag Visibility

  • Admin, Manager & Guide users can edit/add/create/remove tags.

  • Internal and external contributors can view and add existing tags, but cannot create tags.

Your tags can be hidden from customers by clicking the eyeball icon on the right side of the tag banner (shown below). If the eyeball has a slash through it will be hidden (or locked) from external users' views.

Best Practices

  • Create tags that internal, customer, and third-party users can use to easily narrow down projects or tasks using filters!

    • Task tags can be used for knowing which roles are responsible for which tasks (i.e. Onboarders, Installers, PM, Finance, etc).

    • By doing this you can filter & then bulk edit task assignment

      • Read more about bulk editing HERE

  • Assign task tags at the template level so that they are a default when you create your projects.

  • Color Coordinate your tags!
