Overview

Since you'll likely be invited to multiple projects at once, and might want to look at everything on your plate, we created the Tasks feature. Easily view all your tasks, filter tasks, and save filters for quick and easy access.

User Access

All GUIDEcx users can view, filter, and export a consolidated list of tasks across projects.

  • Admins and Managers can view all tasks across all projects in the Tasks tab.

  • Guides can view all Tasks belonging to all projects they are invited to in the Tasks tab.

  • Task Owners and Contributors can view all tasks they are assigned to or are participants in.

How to use "Tasks"

  1. Click on "Tasks" in the navigation rail

  2. Filter tasks based on your requirements

  3. Work on these tasks directly from the Tasks tab!

For example:

  1. A Manager might want to see tasks being performed by their team, in that case, they can filter tasks using Tags on tasks, or Task Assignees.

  2. Project Managers may want to see the status of customer tasks to follow up, in that case, they could select Customers they are working with in filters!

For example:

  • A Manager might want to see tasks being performed by their team. In this case, they can filter tasks using Tags, or Assignees.

  • Project Managers may want to see the status of customer tasks to follow up. In this case, they could select customers they are working with in filters!

Best Practices

  • Save Filters you may use frequently - then select your saved filter from the drop-down for easy access to resulting tasks!

FAQs

How can I view the export of the list of tasks from the Tasks tab?

Upon clicking the 'Export' button in the top right corner of the Tasks tab, an email with a clickable link to download the export will be sent to your inbox with the header Global Tasks Report and will look a lot like this one:

Why am I not seeing tasks for Done or Canceled Projects?

By default, "Tasks" excludes tasks for projects with a status of "Done" or "Cancelled".

To display tasks from Projects that are no longer in-flight, you will need to apply a filter that includes "Done" or "Cancelled" as the Project Status.
