Overview

Users can stay focused on tasks that are assigned to them with the help of the My Tasks view! A seamless project delivery requires all teammates to complete their tasks in time and help the project stay on track! Razor-sharp focus and ease of access to only your tasks in a project can help cut the noise!

How to view 'My Tasks' in projects

You can find your tasks by opening a project you are involved with and clicking the "My Tasks" tab under the project name. This page will list all the tasks you have been assigned including their status, due date, and if a sign-off is required (example below).

If you have restricted a customer’s access to 'My Tasks', this is the only page they will see if they decide to log in to the web application.

Restrict Customer Users to only “My Tasks”

If you'd like to hyper-focus your customers on only their tasks and hide all other project information from visibility, you have the option to restrict a customer's view by selecting "Restrict Access to 'My Tasks'" within the customer invite process.

You can also do this after the project is live by editing a user's card within your project team view.

  1. In a project, click the “Team” tab.

  2. Find the user you wish to restrict to “My Tasks”.

  3. Click on the three menu dots on the top-right corner of their user card.

  4. Click “Edit Project View”.

  5. Select “My Tasks Only”.

  6. Hit “Save”.

When a customer or third party is restricted to their own tasks, the project welcome email is suppressed.

Pro tip: Different customer team members can be given different levels of view in a project. Give one customer full access and restrict other users to My Tasks or Compass Views!

Best Practices

  • We recently did a study and found that when our partners are inviting 3-5 customers to their projects we see their On Time completion rate jump to 90%! In your customer team, you can give Full Project view to the Executive Sponsor and enable My Tasks or Compass View for the rest!
