User Access: Only the project's assigned Guide get these specific notifications. Admin and Managers can turn task notifications on, but only the assigned PM will get the email notification.

PS All task assignees are still notified automatically with a follow up reminder email to complete their overdue task. This article talks about a more specific notification that can be set to a specific date.

How to turn on a task reminder:

  1. Open up the task you'd like to set a reminder for

  2. Toggle on the "Notify if task is not started by specific date" (It's under the "Start Date" field)

  3. Set the date you'd like to be notified

  4. Save Task

Best Practices:

  • Since only the assigned PM gets notified it's important that they are the ones turning those notifications on!

  • Turn this on for tasks that are known to run late so you can help your customer's project get back on track!

FAQs:

  • Can I set the notification to be sent to someone else? Not at this time.

  • Why is it only the assigned PM that gets this notification? The assigned PM is responsible for the successful completion of the project so they should be the ones who receive the notification when something runs late.
