Overview

Declutter your project list by Archiving Projects you no longer need to be accessible. Archiving a project removes the project from your main project table and places it into a separate table specific to archived projects.

User Access

Only Admin and Manager users have the ability to archive and/or view archived projects.

How to Archive a Project

  1. Select the three dots in the upper right-hand side of the project

  2. Select Archive Project

  3. Confirm that you understand that archiving a project CANNOT BE UNDONE.

How to View Archived Projects

  1. Use the Project Type dropdown on your project table

  2. Select "Archived Projects"

Best Practices

  • Only Archive Projects that are in a DONE or CANCELLED status that you no longer want your customers or non-Admin licensed users to be able to access.

  • Archiving should only be done on much older projects, or test projects that you are not wanting to delete but do not want to have in your project list either.

FAQs

Can I un-archive a project?

No. Once a project is archived it cannot be made an active project again.

Can I delete an archived project?

Yes. You can delete an archived project the same way that you would delete an active project.

Can my customers still access an archived project?

No. Archived projects are only accessible by internal Admin and Manager users.

Do task assignments/@ mention notifications/overview emails/etc. still send for archived projects?

Yes, but only if their project status is in On Time or Late. Before archiving, ensure that your project is in its final state.
If your project is in a cancelled, on hold, or done status, emails (with the exception of @ mentions) will stop sending out.
