Update the status of a GUIDEcx task without having to leave Microsoft Teams

Recipe Overview

When the Post Microsoft Teams Message for GUIDEcx Task Assignment recipe runs, Workbot messages the assignee of a GUIDEcx task the task details in Microsoft Teams. The user can update the task via the Workbot message and changes will be reflected in GUIDEcx.

Note: This recipe uses Workbot commands configured in the Post Microsoft Teams Message for GUIDEcx Task Assignment recipe.


Integration Setup

Installing the Recipe

Prerequisites: The Post Microsoft Teams Message for GUIDEcx Task Assignment recipe installed and set up in Recipe Builder.
โ€‹Workbot installed in your Microsoft Teams instance (installing workbot requires Application Administrator, Cloud Application Administrator, Global Administrator, or Privileged Role Administrator permissions in Microsoft Teams). See this article for more information on Workbot.

Follow the steps outlined in the video below to install the recipe:

Starting the Recipe

From within Recipe Builder, click the 3-dot menu to the right of each of the three recipes and select "Start Recipe".


Recipe Testing

Follow these steps to test the recipe:

  1. Select a new task status from the dropdown of a Workbot message created by the Post Microsoft Teams Message for GUIDEcx Task Assignment recipe and click the "Submit" button.

    1. The task status should update in GUIDEcx.
