How Do I Update My Profile Settings?

Upload a profile picture, update your contact information, and adjust notifications and privacy in your Profile Settings.

User Access

All Users can update their own profile settings!


How to Update Your Profile Settings

  1. Make sure that the navigation rail is expanded.

  2. Click on your Company Name or the ellipses.

  3. Select "Profile Settings" from the drop-down.

  4. Make any changes to your profile that you wish to make.

  5. Click "Save"


Profile Settings Fields

Name

You can edit your name as needed! We recommend steering clear of any nicknames or names that you don't go by to avoid confusion.

Email

You can update you email address in this field and toggle if you want to hide their email from the team page of a project.

Phone Number

Users can add a phone number and update it in this field. They can also toggle their phone number's visibility in the team page of a project.

Your Photo

You can upload a photo that will will display on projects & tasks that are assigned to you. It will also display next to notes that you have made!

Calendar Link

You can use your personal calendly, chili piper, bookings, etc link and this can be used as a merge tag in any task assignment email and experience overview!

Meeting Link

Add your personal meeting room and use this as a merge tag so it can be used in any task assignment email and experience overview as a "signature."

Job Title

Adding your job title is a nice touch to helping the people you onboard understand what your role is in their customer journey! This field will show up on each project's overview that you are over. See screenshot below

Bio

Your bio is a good way to quickly introduce yourself to the people you work with in GUIDEcx. As you can see in the screenshot above, the only place your bio appears is in the project overview if you are the assigned project manager!


Password

You can update your password in the Password tab of the Profile Settings.


Notifications

You can adjust your notifications in the Notifications tab of the Profile Settings.

Notification Method

For each type of notification, you can set whether you're notified via Email, In-App, or Mobile.

Inactive Overdue Task Notifications

In this section you can set when GUIDEcx will follow up on overdue tasks.

Project Manager Notifications

Admins, Managers, and Guides, have notification settings specific to projects that they manage.


Best Practices

  • Choose a smiling photo where you can see your face clearly!

    • This will help you add a personal and approachable touch to your customer's experience!

  • Tailor your Notification settings to what works for you!

    • If you are in-app all day and only occasionally check your email, set your notifications to in-app.

  • Don't overwhelm yourself with notifications.

    • Ignored notifications may as well have not been sent. Turn off or set notifications that are less important to you to in-app only.


FAQs

Who can see my profile picture?

All internal users and any external user invited to a project where you are a team member can see your profile picture in task cards and the team tab.

Can I hide my contact information?

You can set your phone number and email address to be hidden from the team tab!

Note: If you have a verified email domain, many GUIDEcx emails will come addressed from the PM of the Project (For a list of emails that come from the PM, please see the Verify Your Domain help article)

Hiding your contact information, only hides that information from the Team Tab of the project. It does not remove your email address from emails sent from GUIDEcx. Email recipients WILL be able to see your email address on these communications.

I changed tabs in the profile settings and now my progress is lost.

Make sure that you save your progress before navigating away!
