This new email verification flow will roll out gradually to all GUIDEcx customers between 10/7/24 and 10/9/24.

In an effort to provide the most reliable and secure experience possible, GUIDEcx is implementing the use of one time email verification codes to facilitate customer access to projects and tasks. Historically, GUIDEcx has used “magic links” as the primary access mechanism for customers. However, with enhancements to email security, "magic links" can expire due to testing protocols and link protection softwares.

GUIDEcx is excited to implement a newer security method for links - one-time verification codes. Customers will still have the smooth experience of "logging in" without a username or password, now with added security and reliability. Here's how the new flow works:

1. When a customer clicks on a link in a GUIDEcx email, or uses a bookmarked link to access projects and tasks, they will be immediately directed to the project if they verified their email within the last 2 weeks. If they haven't verified their email (or it has been > 2 weeks), they will land on a login screen asking for their email address.

2. Customers should enter their email address.

3. After clicking “Next”, the screen will update with your company branding and a message prompting customers to check their email for a one-time verification code. The code will expire in 15 minutes.

4. Customers then enter the code on the login page and hit “Enter” or click “Sign In”.

5. Customers will be taken to whatever page the link was directing them to, such as a project or task.

Welcome to the world of more secure and more reliable GUIDEcx access! 🌎
