What's different between GUIDE 2.0 & the legacy experience?

-Left Hand Navigation-

Home Page: Within the 2.0 experience all users have access to a new left hand navigation item labeled “Home”. This new dashboard is a central location where users come to see critical tasks that are coming due across a variety of projects and respond to mentions from other users. Additionally, there is an analytics dashboard that helps facilitate conversations and highlight a user’s contributions to ongoing projects. This dashboard is not available in the Legacy experience.

-Projects Page-

Project Type: Legacy page has “Project Type” drop down where users can filter between Provider, Customer, Third-party projects. This experience is being replaced by our “Workspaces” experience where users will now have individual workspace “tiles” in the far left hand navigation and they can toggle between their own environment and environments where they are participating in other GUIDEcx powered projects. Users will click on the workspace of the project they want to view and then navigate to it on the Projects page.

Export: Legacy allows for an export of project data. In the 2.0 experience this data will be contained in our data sets and in our reporting, but we are eliminating the action of exporting data and relying on the emailing of that data.

Timeline View: Legacy has a view referred to as “Timeline View”. A new version of this will be built in the 2.0 experience, but is not a top priority.

Brands: TBD. We are considering a few different options around similar legacy functionality or more robust Workspace functionality while using custom fields. Future enhancements around email customization are being considered, but will not be part of the initial transition.

Cash Value: Providers will leverage custom fields if desired.

Status Change Reasons: Not built in 2.0 yet, but there is an initial version that allows users to provide some context.

-Tasks Page-

Export: Legacy allows for an export of task data. In the 2.0 experience this data will be contained in our data sets and in our reporting, but we are eliminating the action of exporting data and relying on the emailing of that data.

-Templates-

Templates: Has been redesigned to have a UI that accommodates all template types rather than just Phases (Templates). This has resulted in displaying fewer columns on the display and not having a “Published” feature at the time of launch.

Experience Overview: This has been replaced by a “Welcome Message”. You now have the ability to have an Internal Welcome Message that allows you to have different messages for different audiences. This now lives at the Project Template level rather than at the Phase level.

Attachments: For template building, attachments are available at all levels. All attachments from Legacy will be migrated over when the template is cloned and becomes a 2.0 template.

-Time Tracking-

Reporting: Hasn’t been built yet, but we plan to address this through inline product analytics.

-Resource Management-

Customer Roles: Previously, Customer Roles were only labels on the Team tab. They are now more robust and allow for automatic task assignment to a user that fulfills the role. Defined customer roles improves customer engagement.

Project Roles: Project Roles is a replacement for Functions/Skills. These are built in a way that they will unlock additional functionality around permissions and user attributes.

Estimated Capacity: Hasn’t been built yet but will exist in 2.0.

-Project Plan-

Action Items: These have been eliminated and there is no plan to replace these. We have a variety of options available such as Subtasks and Checklists.

My Tasks: This tab and view have been eliminated, our focus is on the Portal experience for Customers and the Home dashboard for internal users.

Activity Log: Hasn’t been built yet, but audit logs will exist via report or inline product experience.

Watchers: TBD

Event/Participant Tasks: In 2.0, only one task type is supported. Event & participant tasks are replaced by bulk actions for subtasks.

Points: Task custom fields are a replacement for this, it is no longer a default field.
